Twenty20 Cup, Hove: Surrey beat Sussex by five wickets
Azhar Mahmood blasted an unbeaten 28 from 17 balls as Surrey Lions moved clear at the top of the South Division with a rain-affected win over Sussex.
Chasing a revised target of 114 in 13 overs after Sussex scored 139-6 from 17 overs, the visitors needed 14 from spinner Mike Yardy's final over.
Only three runs were scored from the first three balls, but Mahmood smashed a six and two fours to seal the win.
Alistair Brown added a 50 for Surrey in response to Matt Prior's 51 for Sussex.
