Totesport League D2, Citylets Grange: Scottish Saltires 252-7 lost to Surrey 253-5 by five wickets
Spectators at the Citylets Grange were treated to a run feast on Friday, but got the wrong result as Surrey beat Scottish Saltires by five wickets.
Batting first, the hosts racked up 252-7, with Jonathan Beukes hitting 91.
But Graham Thorpe came out of a batting slump to hit 69 as Surrey, fresh from defeating Gloucestershire in Bristol, won with more than six overs to spare.
Ali Brown (a rapid 65) and James Benning (49) also put in valuable contributions for the visitors.
