County Championship D1, Cardiff, day three (stumps): Glamorgan 250 & 173; Surrey 248 & 122-4
Live commentary from BBC London available on this website.
Surrey look well set to wrap up victory over Glamorgan on Saturday morning, and for that they must thank James Ormond.
Ormond, who made his England debut in the last home Ashes series, had the first seven-wicket haul of his career as Glamorgan were bowled out for 173.
For the second time in the match, Mark Wallace was the top scorer with 55, and Ormond ended with figures of 7-63.
With a victory target of 176, Surrey were well placed at stumps on 122-4 though Graham Thorpe failed again.
He was out for five, his second single-figure score in the match, but Mark Ramprakash, whose 107 was the crucial factor in Surrey's first innings, is still there on 49.
Simon Jones followed his 3-62 in Surrey's first innings of 248 with the wicket of Richard Clinton in the visitors' second dig.
