County Championship D1, Cardiff, day one (stumps): Glamorgan 238-9 v Surrey
Live commentary from BBC London available on this website.
Glamorgan had a hard time in difficult batting conditions on a rain-affected first day against Surrey in Cardiff.
The hosts, who elected to bat after winning the toss, never recovered from losing Matthew Elliott to the first ball of the day and closed on 238-9.
Elliott was caught off Jimmy Ormond, but Ormond's opening partner Mohammad Akram (4-62) did most of the damage.
David Hemp made 60 before being bowled by Akram, while Mark Wallace finished unbeaten on 86, hitting three sixes.
