Kent beat Foxes under rain rules
Totesport League D2, Canterbury: Kent 150-4 (33.5 overs) beat Leicestershire 214-8 by six runs (D/L method)

An absorbing match at Canterbury was settled by the Duckworth-Lewis computer as Kent Spitfires ran out winners by six runs over Leicestershire Foxes.

Martin van Jaarsveld hit a well-paced 69 not out to ensure Kent were ahead of the calculations on 150-4 in the 34th over when the rain became too heavy.

Earlier, Dinesh Mongia hit a rapid 62 as Leicestershire reached 214-8.

He was one of three victims for Martin Saggers while Simon Cook also impressed, picking up 2-33.
