Totesport League D1: Glamorgan v Essex (match abandoned - rain)
Glamorgan's totesport League day-night match against Essex was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The defending champions had scheduled the launch of their new floodlights but the ceremony proved to be a damp squib.
It is the second match running Glamorgan have had to settle for two points after their opening match at Lancashire was also washed out.
It was the first time for almost eight years a one-day league match at Cardiff has ended as a no-result.
