Frizzell County Championship D1, Brit Oval
Sussex 370 v Surrey 6-1 (stumps, day two)
Yardy played what could prove to be a crucial innings

Michael Yardy struck a bright century for Sussex against Surrey on a second day marred by bad weather at The Oval.
The visitors, 171-4 overnight, were bowled out for 370 in the evening, with Yardy making 111 before falling lbw to Rikki Clarke, Surrey's best with 4-91.
Keeper Matt Prior (59) and all-rounder Robin Martin-Jenkins (40) also made contributions either side of the washed-out afternoon session.
The hosts fell to 6-1 at stumps after James Kirtley bowled Scott Newman.
Yardy afterwards paid tribute to Sussex coach Peter Moores for helping boost his confidence.
Moores will leave the club at the end of the summer to become the new head of the national academy.
"If you go into our dressing room everyone will tell you how much he has helped them. He is very enthusiastic, and that rubs off on the players," said Yardy.
"If you are in the nets and not feeling 100%, he will turn things round for you. He is very honest and you get to know - whether you are on a high or a low - you are never quite as good or bad as you think you are."
