Totesport League D2, The Oval: Somerset 238 (39.5 overs) beat Surrey 237 (45 overs) by five wickets
Ian Blackwell kept alive Somerset's promotion hopes with a stunning 88 off 53 balls to give his side a five-wicket victory over Surrey.
He put on 120 for the fourth wicket with James Hildrith to pick up the win with five overs still remaining.
A number of Surrey batsmen made their mark without really posting a big score, James Benning topping with 65.
But once Blackwell, who smashed six sixes, joined Hildrith (75 not out) at the crease, there was only one winner.
Hildreth's runs came off 83 balls but he was made to look pedestrian by Blackwell's fireworks.
By the time Blackwell hit the ball into the hands of Ali Brown on the midwicket boundary, Somerset were just 30 runs shy of the win.
And Hildreth made no mistake in wrapping up the win.
