More champs join Twenty20 series
Faisalabad Wolves celebrate
Faisalabad Wolves won Pakistan's Twenty20 crown in April
September's International 20:20 Club Championship is to involve all reigning domestic champions after teams from Pakistan and Sri Lanka signed up.

Original plans to field a combined India/Pakistan XI were shelved to allow entry to Faisalabad Wolves of Pakistan and Sri Lanka champions Chilaw Marians.

English Twenty20 winners Somerset and South African champs Nashua Titans are already in the three-day tournament.

Hosts Leicestershire and a PCA Masters XI complete the line-up at Grace Road.

"We will find out who really is the best team in the world at the 20:20 format," said tournament director Alex Balfour.

Somerset hope South Africa skipper Graeme Smith will return to lead them for the tournament.

And he could come head-to-head with Pakistan counterpart Inzamam-ul-Haq, who missed Faisalabad's domestic win because of a back injury.
