Sussex cruise to comfortable win
County Championship D1, Cheltenham, day three: Sussex 365 & 264-5 v Gloucestershire 224 & 179-9 by 226 runs
Points: Sussex 21, Gloucestershire 4

Sussex wasted no time in wrapping up victory with a day to spare against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham.

Ramnaresh Sarwan put up single-handed resistance for Gloucs, scoring 117 of their feeble second-innings 179 total.

Resuming with a handy 269-run lead, Sussex made their intentions clear as they put on 136 runs in an hour thanks to Matt Prior's brilliant 109.

Chasing a huge target, only Sarwan's innings stopped Gloucestershire's reply being a total embarrassment.

Of the other Gloucs batsman only Ian Fisher and Malinga Bandara made it into double figures, with four players making ducks.

Sussex bowler Naved-ul-Hasan was the main threat, ending with figures of 5-81 from his 15 overs.
