Twenty20 Cup, Beckenham: Surrey 141-3 (16 overs) beat Kent 140-8 (20 overs) by 7 wickets
Surrey maintained their near-perfect Twenty20 record with a seven-wicket victory over Kent at baking Beckenham.
Before a crowd of 7,000 the Lions put up a brilliant display with James Benning hitting an outstanding 66.
Rikki Clarke (13) and Jon Batty (19) shared an unbroken stand of 29 to pass a target of 141 with four overs left.
Earlier, Martin van Jaarsveld's half-century from 44 balls, completed with a six over midwicket, helped the Spitfires to reach 140-8.
Surrey's defeat to Leicestershire in last year's final remains their only defeat in three years of the competition.
