County Championship D2, Derby, day one (stumps):
Derbyshire 351-9 v Yorkshire
Chris Bassano propped up Derbyshire's first-innings with a century on day one against Yorkshire at the County Ground.
Bassano's 100, which included 12 fours and a six, was supplemented by half-centuries to Hassan Adnan (81) and opener Steve Stubbings (51).
But the hosts were forced to settle for 351-9 at stumps as England one-day all-rounder Anthony McGrath kept Yorkshire in the hunt with figures of 5-33.
Opening quicks Steve Kirby and John Blain chipped in with two wickets each.
The Tykes were unable to pick Darren Lehmann as his back injury ruled him out of contention.
