Sri Lanka A crush Tykes
Tour match, Headingley: Yorkshire 179-7 lost to Sri Lanka A 180-3 by seven wickets

Sri Lanka A eased to a seven-wicket win over Yorkshire in a one-day tour match at Headingley reduced to 35-overs-per-side by rain.

The county outfit laboured to 179-7 after losing the toss, with Phil Jaques hitting 79 off 72 balls and seamer Dammika Prasad returning 3-31.

Saman Jayantha and Avishka Gunawardene got the reply off to a good start with an opening stand of 74.

Gunawardene top-scored with 61 as the visitors won with four overs to spare.

Sri Lanka A got their tour of England under way last week with a win over a British Universities XI.
