County Championship D1, Old Trafford, day four: Lancashire 311 & 99-3 drew with Gloucestershire 311-8 dec & 289
Gloucestershire 10 pts, Lancashire 9
Gary Keedy and Chris Taylor enjoyed personal landmarks as Lancashire and Gloucestershire played out a draw in their rain-hit game at Old Trafford.
Taylor made 109 to pass 1,000 runs for the summer as Gloucestershire made 289 in their second innings.
Left-arm spinner Keedy took 7-132 for career best match figures of 14-227, sending down 77 overs in the match.
Lancashire were left a target of 290 for victory but the players shook hands with them on 99-3.
In a match chiefly noteworthy for confirmation of Lancashire's relegation, they found themselves on 12-3 as Mark Chilton went for three and Iain Sutcliffe and Andrew Crook made ducks.
But Mal Loye (45) and Carl Hooper (43) played out time in an unbroken stand of 87.
Taylor had earlier hit a six off Keedy and 14 fours in a sparkling 128-ball knock.
Mike Hussey made 45 in his final innings for the club before taking over as Durham skipper for 2005, and Ian Fisher batted for over an hour a half for his 34 before he was last man out.
