County Championship D2, Taunton (close): Somerset 275 v Yorkshire
Somerset were dismissed for 275 in the rain-affected match against Yorkshire.
After losing the first session to the weather, Yorkshire put Somerset into bat and it was a good decision.
Somerset slumped to 64-6 after Steve Kirby had dismissed most of the top order in a devastating spell of bowling, ending with figures of 5-74.
Wicket-keeper Rob Turner turned it around a little for Somerset with an unbeaten 81 from 149 balls.
And there were cameo appearances for Aaron Laraman (36) and Steffan Jones (39).
Last man Simon Francis hit a
career-best 44.
Craig White was able to bowl again for the first time in four months and the
England all-rounder showed no ill-effects from his rib surgery in sending down a
total of nine overs in three separate spells for 21 runs.
