Rain saves struggling Notts
County Championship D1, Leicester (close): Leicestershire v Nottinghamshire 90-3

Less than half of the day's allotted overs were possible in Leicester as the rain ended play early.

Nottinghamshire had won the toss and elected to bat but were struggling on 11-2 at one stage.

Captain Jason Gallian posted five runs and Darren Bicknell just one as both fell to Leicester veteran Phil DeFreitas.

Notts did recover well but lost their third wicket on 89 when Guy Whelton was bowled by David Masters for 31.
