Frizzell County Championship, Division One
Day three of four (tea)
A big Atlantic depression meant there was rain for every corner of the British Isles on Friday.
Canterbury at least escaped the deluge in the morning where Middlesex were forced to follow on, subsiding from 135-5 to 221 all out, some 251 runs behind Kent.

Martin Saggers was on target early in the day. He dismissed top-scorer Ben Hutton for 74 before trapping David Nash lbw for 12 moments later.
Saggers finished with 4-48 from 23 overs of high-class seam-bowling.
Captain Mark Ealham also weighed in with a couple of wickets, including the free-scoring Imran Tahir (29).
In the follow-on, Andrew Strauss and Sven Koenig safely negotiated 10.1 overs to reach 45-0 before rain delayed proceedings.
There was no play in the Lancashire v Essex match at Old Trafford while Surrey v Leicestershire at The AMP Oval may finally get underway at 1645 GMT.
Lancashire are firmly in charge of their match while Surrey are set to win by a huge margin provided play is possible on Saturday which has a terrible forecast.
Division Two
There was no play at all in Bristol, Stockton and Northampton.
Some 24 overs of play were possible at Taunton, however, where Somerset are dominating that match against Glamorgan.
They declared on 476-6 declared and Glamorgan are 29-1 in reply, still 247 runs behind.
