C&G Trophy quarter-final, Derby: Derbyshire 271 all out (50 overs) beat Surrey 134 all out (33.4 overs) by 137 runs
Kaif hit 81 in only his third innings for Derbyshire

Mohammad Kaif marked his Derbyshire one-day debut with perfectly paced 81 to ruin Surrey's unbeaten season with a 137-run C&G Trophy quarter-final victory.
Chasing a challenging 272, last year's semi-finalists, who opted to go without England duo Alec Stewart and Mark Butcher, were bowled out for 134 with 16 overs remaining.
The loss was Surrey's first in 24 outings in all forms of the game since last August, when Derbyshire were the victors in a National League match at The Oval.
Derbyshire will now travel to Bristol on 7 August to take on Gloucestershire, victors over Warwickshire, in the semi-finals.

That was a model for constructing an innings in one-day cricket

Michael DiVenuto also contributed a brisk half-century but Kaif stayed the course until he was caught in the deep off Adam Hollioake, his 85-ball innings having included seven fours.
Eighty runs were added and six wickets fell in the last 10 overs, Azhar Mahmood claiming three victims to add to the early dismissal of opener Andrew Gait.
Surrey's bowlers conceded 30 extras in all, with Hollioake conceding seven wides.
Dean rain through the top order to take 2-26

But it was the impact of pace bowlers Dominic Cork and Kevin Dean that did the most damage.
By the time the duo has finished their opening spells Surrey were 26-4, with both Alistair Brown and England squad member Rikki Clarke dismissed first ball.
Graeme Welch kept the pressure on in mid-innings, capturing four wickets in the process.
A fifth-wicket stand of 40 was brought to an end when Graham Thorpe edged behind for 37, and skipper Adam Hollioake got a thick edge to deep point after a blazing 20.
And, a 21-run last-wicket stand, with Jon Batty making 28, was too little too late.
Both teams observed a minutes silence before the match in memory of former Derbyshire captain Guy Willatt, who has died at the age of 85.
