County Championship leaders Yorkshire are in control of their match against Leicestershire thanks to Darren Lehmann.

Lehmann played Yorkshire into a mighty position of a 376-run lead with seven wickets in hand and two days to play.

Needing 37 points before the start of the match to mathematically secure their first championship triumph for 33 years, the outlook is becoming increasingly healthy for the White Rose county.

Lehmann struck an unbeaten 141 out of Yorkshire's 267 for three from 213 deliveries, including 20 fours.

After Yorkshire had wiped away the remainder of Leicestershire's first innings to take a 109 lead, the host county made two early strikes.

Then Lehmann and Michael Vaughan began to settle into another innings which will please the England management before the final Test at The Oval.

Leicestershire had resumed 207 behind at 23 for three.

They then lost their last five for 28 in nine overs to be hurried out for 121.
