Moin regains Pakistan captaincy
![]() Moin Khan handed over captaincy because of injury
Wicketkeeper Moin Khan has been named as captain of Pakistan's 14-man squad for the ICC knock-out tournament in Kenya in October.
He regains the captaincy he lost after missing the tri-series competition in Singapore through injury. Fast bowler Waqar Younis led the team in his place. Wasim Akram also rejoins the squad after a month's rest and off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq returns after taking 66 wickets this season for county champions Surrey. Middle order batsman Younis Khan has been dropped and replaced by Faisal Iqbal, who played in the one-day international against Sri Lanka earlier this year.
Team: Imran Nazi, Saeed Anwar, Ejaz Ahmed, Inzimamul Haq (vice-captain), Yousaf Yohana, Wasim Akram, Moin Khan (captain), Arshad Khan, Waqar Younis, Abdul Razzak, Azhar Mahmood, Salim Elahi, Saqlain Mushataq and Faisal Iqbal.
