Lewis Gregory to captain England U19s in Sri Lanka

Somerset's Lewis Gregory will captain the England Under-19 squad for the tour of Sri Lanka in January.

Warwickshire's Ateeq Javid and Kent pair Daniel Bell-Drummond and Adam Ball are also included in the 17-man party.

England development programme head coach Tim Boon said: "We have selected a balanced squad with a combination of experience as well as younger players.

"This tour is a chance for the players to test themselves in different conditions against tough opposition."

The four-week includes two four-day Tests and five one-day games.

England Under-19 squad: Lewis Gregory (captain, Somerset), Adam Ball (Kent), Daniel Bell-Drummond (Kent), Christian Davis (Northamptonshire), Matthew Dunn (Surrey), Ben Foakes (Essex), Ateeq Javid (Warwickshire), Tymal Mills (Essex), Tom Milnes (Warwickshire), Jack Parsons (Sussex), Gurman Randhawa (Yorkshire), Adam Rossington (Middlesex), Andrew Salter (Glamorgan), Jack Sheppard (Hampshire), Rammi Singh (Durham), Shiv Thakor (Leicestershire), Sam Wood (Nottinghamshire).
