Reigning champions St Just began the defence of their Cornwall Premier League title with an impressive six wicket win at Truro on Saturday.
Truro's decision to bat first after winning the toss was vindicated as they scored 311-5 in 55 overs.
St Just then lived up to their formidable reputation as they chased down the target in style, thanks in part to 143 from opener Dave Roberts.
The champions won with just four balls spare, finishing on 312-4.
In the weekend's other fixtures, there were wins for Paul, Werrington, St Austell and Callington.
Paul beat Newquay by 159 runs, scoring 201-8 in before restricting Newquay to 43.
Werrington also enjoyed a comfortable win, beating Penzance away by 86 runs, while Callington were 128 run winners over Falmouth.
St Austell's restricted Grampound Road to 273-7 at Wheal Eliza, before passing the target in the 49th over for the loss of five wickets.
