Staffs ready for Cumberland test

Cricket

Staffordshire begin their three-day Minor Counties Championship match against Cumberland in Barrow on Sunday.

Paul Goodwin's side will go into the match full of confidence, having qualified for the final of the one-day Knockout Trophy on 28 June.

Staffordshire have drawn both of their Championship matches, against Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, this season.

Cumberland have also drawn against Cambridgeshire, but lost their other match to Herefordshire by nine wickets.
