Cricket coach nominated for award

Nomination for St Just cricket coach

St Just cricket coach Chris Goninan has been nominated for BBC South West's Unsung Sporting Hero award.

He has been involved with St Just cricket club in west Cornwall for 50 years and has helped bring young players through into the first team.

The club have been Cornish champions for the past five years and made the semi-finals for the national club Twenty20 championships in the summer.

As well as a coach to young players, he is also the club's secretary.
