Norfolk prepared for Devon semi

Norfolk skipper Carl Rogers
Rogers believes Norfolk can win another MCCA Trophy title

Norfolk take on Devon in the semi-finals of the MCCA Knockout Trophy at Manor Park on Sunday.

Preparations have been far from ideal, with the team's three-day Championship match against Hertfordshire declared a total wash-out on Tuesday.

Norfolk captain Carl Rogers insisted the players have played enough cricket already this season and will be ready.

"Having two or three days off shouldn't make too much difference, we've got experienced players," he said.

Both Norfolk and Devon have a good record in the tournament with Norfolk winning the trophy in 1986, 1997, 2001 and 2005 and never losing a final.

Devon have reached six finals since 1991, winning three.

Devon beat Norfolk by one run in the 1992 semi-finals but after tasting defeat to Sunday's hosts in the 2001 Lord's final Devon have the most recent reason for wanting revenge.
