Staffordshire coach Kim Barnett was pleased with the way his side beat Hertfordshire to earn their first Minor Counties Championship win of the year.
Chasing 240 at Longton, the home side got over the line with five wickets to spare on Tuesday.
"It's notoriously difficult to chase here and the effort the team put in was fantastic. I'm very pleased for them," Barnett told BBC Radio Stoke.
Staffordshire next meet Northumberland at Stone on 6 July in a three-day game.
The victory is a welcome return to form for the Staffordshire side, who had previously lost their opening three-day game of the season against Lincolnshire and gone out of the MCCA knock-out at the hands of Oxfordshire.
