The rain hit the second day of the World Cricket League Division Five tournament in Jersey on Saturday, with only one game being completed.
Germany beat the South Pacific's Vanuatu by six wickets in the only result of the day.
Jersey had reached 140-0 against Japan before the game was abandoned.
The event is the first step on a long road that could see any of the 12 competing nations qualifying to play in the 2011 World Cup.
USA v Norway

In the first day of play Nepal crushed the German team by seven wickets with Germany only managing 69 runs. The Nepalese side reached that in 20 overs.
Bahamas lost to Botswana at Les Quennevais too when they were all out for 135 chasing the Africans' total of 205.
Norway were comfortable victors over Vanuatu.
The match at FB Fields was a run feast with Norway scoring a massive 360-3 with Syed Ahmed the first centurian of the tournament with 133 not out. In reply Vanuatu scored 177.
The final game of the day was Mozambique v USA at Farmers Field. USA won by 9 wickets with Mozambique 148 for 7 in their 50 overs. USA cruised to the total with 150 for 1 in 27.4 overs.
