Ombersley's Birmingham League game against Berkswell on Saturday was decimated by the weather with the villagers in a good position.

Duncan Catterall hit 56, before Joph Young hammered six fours and three sixes in his 65.

He and Nick Dale-Lace (47 not out) put on 104 runs in nine overs, but at tea the drizzle turned into heavy rain and the match was abandoned.

Evesham and Old Elizabethans were both involved in losing draws.

Old Elizabethans' last pair Stuart Lockwood and Ollie Griffiths had to bat out the final 13 balls to get a draw against St George's.

George's had posted 174-7 but, after several stoppages for rain, Elizabethans ended on 89-9.

Former Worcestershire and England bowler Neal Radford took four for 38 but Evesham could only reach 93-8, chasing 106 to win against Newport.

Herefordshire skipper Chris Burroughs starred for Brockhampton taking seven for 57 against Oswestery, before Henry Langford hit 61 not out in a seven-wicket win.

Kington's David Exhall was in good all-round form as they won at Coleshill by nine wickets.

Exhall picked up three for 13 and then hit 37 not out as they romped past the home side's 130 for eight.
