Australia celebrate
McGrath made key early in-roads to hurt South Africa
Michael Clarke paid tribute to his side's bowling attack after Australia thrashed South Africa in a one-sided World Cup semi-final in St Lucia.

Glenn McGrath took 3-18 and Shaun Tait 4-39 as South Africa were dismissed for just 149, having been 27-5.

Clarke said: "Today was all set up by our bowlers, who did a fantastic job. The energy in the field was great.

"It's a great feeling to make the final. If we bowl like that, I can't see how we'll have to chase many runs."

Clarke's comments were echoed by his skipper Ricky Ponting, who will now play in his fourth consecutive World Cup final.

We're in really good shape

Ponting said: "It was a great day for us today. Full credit to our bowlers - they did a great job today, and our batters did what they had to do later on.

"All the bowlers have just been fantastic all tournament - they've all worked really hard.

"We're in really good shape and we're looking forward to Saturday coming round."

McGrath, playing in his last World Cup, set another record when he took his tournament haul to 25 wickets, the best ever performance in a World Cup.

And he said: "It's coming out well. The breeze allowed me to swing the ball and I was lucky enough to get a few edges.

"We have bowled every team out at the World Cup except Bangladesh and that was a 22-over game. That's a great feeling to take into the final.

"Tait and Nathan Bracken are bowling well and Brad Hogg is playing a big part like he did at the last World Cup."
