Tour match, Northampton, day two (stumps):
Northamptonshire 149-5 v Bangladesh
No play Saturday - rain
No play was possible on day two between Northants and Bangladesh because of rain, denying the visitors of precious practice ahead of the first Test.
The Tigers, thrashed by Sussex last week, have just the final day left before they take on England at Lord's.
Rain also curtailed the first day when they reduced the Northants to 149-5.
"I was keen to check on the form of a few lads but that has not been possible in this game really," said Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore.
"These practice games were vital in my planning for the test series. I suppose we've learned a little more about the weather conditions though."
Whatmore admitted there were still selection issues remaining for the Test.
But he hinted that teenage pace bowler Shahadat Hossain, who was left out of the team against Northants, was in line to make his Test debut.
"We rested a few players for this game because I was concerned about individual tiredness.
"Shahadat might get his chance at Lord's but nothing is decided," he added.
