Pakistan vice-captain Younis Khan has backed Danish Kaneria to be their trump card in the forthcoming Test series against India.
Kaneria took 11 wickets in the recent Tests against England
"He is the best leg-spinner in the world today after Shane Warne. I think Kaneria gives us the edge," he said.
"Our team has been doing very well and I think it will remind people of the unbeatable team which we once had under Imran Khan.
"I am keenly waiting for the series to begin," Younis continued.
Pakistan recently beat England 2-0 and followed it up by taking the one-day series 3-2.
"Our side is very balanced now, with a good bowling attack, and the batting prowess shown by our players in the England series is a good indication of what we are capable of," said Younis.
India are also in confident mood after a 2-0 home success against Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series.
And Younis believes they made the right decision by including former captain Sourav Ganguly in their squad for the series despite his modest record of 297 runs in seven previous Tests against Pakistan.
"I think Ganguly is a terrific player. India won a lot of matches under his captaincy, which can never be overlooked. His return will surely add experience to the team," he said.
But it is current skipper Rahul Dravid, whose wicket will be most highly prized by Pakistan's bowlers, according to Younis.
"He is a great batsman and capable of changing the fortunes of a game at any time," he commented.
The first Test begins in Lahore on 14 January.
