North Down to face Carrick in cup
Holders North Down face Carrickfergus in the second round of next season's Newry & Down Democrat Challenge Cup.

Waringstown, who were defeated in last season's semi-finals, face Lurgan at Pollock in a local derby.

In the first round there are a number of town v country affairs with Dunmurry at home to Armagh, Laurelvale taking on CIYMS and Ballymena facing Woodvale.

Two lower section sides are guaranteed to progress into the third round.

In last season's final the Comber side lifted their fifth title in six years with an eight-wicket victory over Downpatrick who face Cliftonville away in the second round.

First round 6 May
Larne v Muckamore
Donacloney v Holywood
Derriaghy v Cooke Collegians
Laurelvale v CIYMS
Dunmurry v Armagh
Ballymena v Woodvale

Second round, 20 May
Lisburn v Civil Service North
Dunmurry or Armagh v Larne or Muckamore Laurelvale or CIYMS v Ballymena or Woodvale
Cliftonville v Downpatrick
Carrickfergus v North Down
Derriaghy or Cooke Collegians v Instonians
Bangor v Donacloney or Holywood
Lurgan v Waringstown
