Former England cricket captains Alec
Stewart and Nasser Hussain have both been invited to become honorary life members of the MCC.
Stewart, England's most capped player, said: "It is an honour to be given this recognition by MCC. I am delighted."
Former captain Hussain retired last summer after hauling England back from the dark days of the late 1990s with Test success across the globe.
He said: "It is the greatest cricketing accolade I could receive."
