The Comber men held a nine run lead going into the seconds innings and then skittled Downpatrick out for 108.

Marty Moreland took figures of 3-26 with man-of-the-match Ralph Coetzee chipping in with 2-16.

David Kennedy (52 n.o) and Ryan Haire (31 n.o) took North Down to 101-1 and a comfortable nine wicket triumph.

Downpatrick made 208-9 in their first innings with North Down hitting 217-5 in reply.

Coetzee top scored for North Down with 53 and he put on a valuable 93-run partnership with captain Peter Shields.

Downpatrick captain Dale Mullan managed 22 runs in the second innings but his team could only set a target of 100.
