Latest: England 139-7 (36 overs)
Target: 267
England faded fast under the lights at Chester-le-Street as Australia hit back with a 57-run victory.
After seeing their side lurch to 7-3 after six overs, Vikram Solanki and Andrew Flintoff added 79 in 19 overs before Brad Hogg's spin did for them.
Andrew Symonds, who bashed a fine 73, dismissed Kevin Pietersen, and that exposed the tail for the seamers.
Darren Gough and Steve Harmison prevented a complete rout but could not earn England a bonus point.
Action over-by-over:
50th over: Needing seven off McGrath to gain a bonus point, England can only manage three. But the final pair can be well pleased with an unbeaten partnership of 50, and Gough particularly pleased with his 46 not out off 47 balls. 209-9
49th over: Lee returns for his final over but Gough's approach remains the same. One superb lofted drive to long off brings him his seventh boundary - more than any other England batsman this evening. Lee's figures, however, remain impressive. 206-9
48th over: Five more runs for England to make it 40 off 43 balls for this pair. Gough is now seven runs short of the best score of the innings. 199-9
47th over: Another decent over for Gough. He even manages to keep the strike with a nice shot for one off the last ball. 194-9
46th over: Gough is starting to enjoy himself now. Having pulled Watson and Gillespie over the midwicket rope, he does the same to McGrath. He then picks up a slower ball and sends it to within a few inches of the long-on boundary for another four. 188-9
45th over: Gillespie goes close with one good yorker; England scramble a couple of singles. 178-9
44th over: McGrath comes back into the attack hoping to bring things to a swift conclusion, but Gough and Harmison keep him out without too much distress. 176-9

41st over: WICKET: 159-9 England (Tremlett 8) As predicted, Tremlett's innings didn't last much longer. He skied an ugly looking slog straight down Mike Hussey's throat off the bowling of Jason Gillespie. 159-9
40th over: Tremlett and Gough scratch around for five runs, but it will be a minor miracle if England see out their full allocation of overs. 156-8

38th over: WICKET: England 145-8 (Jones 23) Needing to get on with things, Geraint Jones attempts to push the scoring on against Shane Watson. Sadly, his agricultural heave to long on only gets as far as Matthew Hayden at mid on. 146-8
