MCC bosses hope competition will toughen their young players

The MCC Young Cricketers are to compete in next year's County Second XI Championship for the first time.
Comprising the best young players from around the UK and overseas yet to have a county contract, the team played 53 matches during 2004.
"It will provide tough opposition and enable them to monitor progress against cricketers of a standard to which they aspire," said MCC boss John Stephenson.
"It will also give them a chance to put coaching they receive into practice."
England one-day player Rikki Clarke, England A captain Alex Gidman and Middlesex's Chad Keegan are all recent graduates of the Young Cricketers programme.
