Australia will make their first Test tour of Bangladesh in April 2006, it has been confirmed.

The two countries will shortly be playing a one-day tournament in England but have only ever played each other in two Tests, in Australia in 2003.
The Aussies will arrive in Bangladesh on April 6 and play their
first Test at Dhaka on April 9.
The second Test will begin at
Chittagong on April 16 and three one-day internationals will follow.
Bangladesh were under fire recently after tamely losing a
two-Test series in England, taking only six wickets in the process.
But Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said: "Ten countries isn¿t a lot of countries to be registered Test-playing countries and.
"In order for the game to continue to grow, which is what we want to happen, it¿s important that countries like Bangladesh are given the best possible opportunity to do that."
