Zaheer fit to resume
Zaheer Khan
Zaheer has struggled with injury since last year
Indian pace bowler Zaheer Khan has been declared fit for the remainder of the Asia Cup.

He missed the win against Bangladesh on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, caused by a sliding save against hosts Sri Lanka.

Zaheer took a fitness test attended by physio Andrew Leipus and trainer Gregory Allan King which he passed.

India play arch-rivals Pakistan in a super league match on Sunday, with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh playing Friday.

Zaheer has been dogged by hamstring trouble since last year's tour of Australia but claimed to be back to full fitness in the lead-up to this tournament.

"He is having these continual injury situations. It's tough on the player and we can't have it happening regularly," coach John Wright said.

The final between the top two teams takes place on 1 August.
