Sussex and the Scottish Saltires claimed two points each as their Totesport League Division Two match at Hove was washed out.
The hosts lost the toss and were forced to bat first, reaching 57-2 after 10.2 overs before the showers set in.
Asim Butt and Ryan Watson took a wicket each for the Saltires, while Matt Prior looked in good touch in making 20 not out off 24 deliveries.
Both teams languish near the bottom of the table and badly needed a win.
