English umpire Neil Mallender has turned down an offer to join the International Cricket Council's elite panel, citing family reasons.
Mallender, along with Pakistan's Aleem Dar, had been invited to the top tier of international panels in February.
But the 42-year-old Yorkshireman has chosen not to accept the offer.
He told the Daily Telegraph: "I have a young family. Given that international cricket is an all-year-round event, I would hardly see them."
