Wasim was a great exponent of reverse swing bowling

New Zealand want the help of retired Pakistan pace bowler Wasim Akram after their home Test series defeat at the hands of Akram's former team-mates.
The bowling of Shoaib Akhtar caused New Zealand problems and captain Stephen Fleming says his side could learn from a reverse-swing expert like Wasim.
"Why not go to the best, and if we can get him, great," said Fleming.
"Certainly if we can get the best players in the world at that skill, then it would be great to learn."
New Zealand have some useful exponents of reverse swing to call
on, namely injured star Shane Bond and former Test players Danny
Morrison and left-armer Geoff Allott.
But Wasim is the master, with 414 Test wickets and 502 one-day
scalps before his retirement this year.
There was a stir in Pakistan last month when
media reports said he had been enlisted to help India's bowlers on
their tour of Australia.
That came to nothing but Akram did not rule out helping bowlers
from other countries.
Fleming said New Zealand's batsmen did not get much practice at dealing with reverse swing.
"We don't get exposed to 150kmh inswingers that often. It's very
hard to get facilities to practise that."
