Tour match, Hobart : Australia A 311-5 dec & 241-7 dec drew with India 245 & 66-2
Clarke is the brightest of Australia's young batsmen
India's batsmen played out a tame draw in Hobart after Michael Clarke had demonstrated his potential with an unbeaten 131 for Australia A.
Clarke hit four sixes and 12 fours in his 140-ball innings, but the chance of a competitive final session disappeared after they delayed their declaration.
A victory target of 308 was well out of reach for India, who reached 66-2 in 33 overs before the end of the game.
Akash Chopra (25) and Sadagoppan Ramesh (22) were the batsmen dismissed.
India, 1-0 up in the Test series with the next match beginning next Friday, declined to give Sachin Tendulkar more time at the crease.
Tendulkar has scores of nought, one and 37 in the Test series so far and made 36 in the first innings here.
But he was not asked to open on Sunday and Parthiv Patel was promoted to four for the closing minutes.
