Spitfires safe after beating Bears
NCL D1, Canterbury: Kent 267-7 beat Warwickshire 163 (37.2 overs) by 104 runs Kent made sure of Division One cricket in 2004 with a 104-run victory over Warwickshire.

The Spitfires' two-point advantage going into the match kept them ahead of Leicestershire despite the Foxes win.

Ed Smith hit 74, sharing stands of 70 with Rob Key and 89 with Andrew Symonds as Kent hit 267-7

And Amjad Khan took 3-32 to bowl the Bears out for 163 with seven overs remaining.
