Twenty20 final: As it happened
Surrey 117-1 (10.5 overs) beat Warwickshire 115 by nine wickets

The Surrey Lions roar to victory with almost half of their overs to spare after a dominant display at Trent Bridge.

James Ormond takes 4-11 as Warwickshire are bowled out for a total which never looks enough after Ian Ward and Alistair Brown launch the reply with a flurry of fours and sixes.

Ward is dismissed for 50 off 26 balls but Brown remains unbeaten on 55 as Mark Ramprakash hits the winning boundary.

Over-by-over details:

11th over: Knight takes the ball for the last rites and Ramprakash brings the match to an end with a flashing four through the covers.

10th over: Brown hoists a short ball from Wagg for four and then thrashes over point to reach his half century off 32 balls. Two runs to long leg brings the scores level.

10th over: Wagg's first ball is over-pitched and Ward on-drives for four to bring up his 50 off 26 balls. A leg-side wide takes the total to three figures but Ward's innings comes to an end as he skies a catch to mid-on. Surrey 100-1

9th over: Ward flicks Obuya off his hip and takes three to long leg as the ball eludes the diving Wagg and then hammers a long hop away for six. Brown follows suit with a cruder blow over long-on

8th over: The boundaries continue as Brown pulls Waqar high to mid-wicket, the ball landing just inches inside the rope. Waqar's spell ends on a low note as Ward puts the ball away through mid-on for another four.

7th over: Brown dances down the wicket and strikes his namesake superbly back over his head for six. Ward pulls a short delivery authoritatively for four and then hammers over mid-on for another.

6th over: Brown finds the boundary again with a cross-batted smear to mid-wicket over Waqar to bring up the 50 partnership.

5th over: Warwickshire almost pick up their first wicket as Ward goes for a sharp single off Brown but Obuya's throw just misses the stumps. Surrey's Brown clubs the final ball for six over long-on.

4th over: Waqar finds the edge but Brown picks up four as the ball flies away past second slip.

3rd over: Brown picks up three fortunate runs as an inside edge just misses the stumps and runs down to fine leg.

2nd over: Brown is in equally positive mood as he flails Waqar's opening delivery over point for four.

1st over: Surrey make a flying start as Ward hits four successive boundaries off Carter, including a flashing square cut and superbly timed cover drive.

WARWICKSHIRE INNINGS

19th over: Warwickshire's innings ends in confusion as Smith is sent back by Waqar and run out at the bowler's end. Warwickshire 115 all out

18th over: Obuya lofts to extra cover and takes one as Ramprakash fails to hold onto the chance. There is no second chance as he attempts a six over mid-wicket and Ward makes no mistake on the boundary edge. Warwickshire 115-9

18th over: Saqlain strikes as Frost fails to get to the pitch of the ball and is caught at long-off by Ormond for 31. Warwickshire 112-8

17th over: Frost chances a second on Brown's arm and just scrapes home for two before Batty takes off the bails. Hollioake misses the stumps later in the over with the chance to run out Obuya.

16th over: Saqlain takes over and Obuya brings up the 100 for Warwickshire by hoisting the Pakistani for six.

15th over: Frost continues to do a sound job for his side, deflecting Clarke down to fine leg for two. Obuya runs the final ball down to third man for a single.

14th over: Frost warms to Hollioake with twos off successive balls before square cutting the next to the boundary. Wagg does not learn by his example and is bowled for five as he plays around a yorker. Warwickshire 83-7

13th over: Frost clears Thorpe at mid-wicket to add three runs to the Warwickshire total.

12th over: Hollioake enters the fray and his friendly pace enables Penney to thrash over long-off for four. The Surrey skipper gains his revenge by bowling him next ball for 33. Warwickshire 63-6

11th over: Frost forces Clarke through the covers off the back foot, but it only brings him a single and he has to deal with a throat-high delivery to end the over.

10th over: Penney breaks the shackles with a slog-sweep for six over square leg off Saqlain.

9th over: Clarke replaces Ormond and raps Frost on the fingers as he finds disconcerting lift. Only two runs come from the over.

8th over: Surrey turn to spin as Saqlain comes into the attack but Penney sweeps for four. Frost adds two with a paddle shot down to fine leg.

7th over: Ormond picks up the wicket of Dougie Brown, who edges to the wicket-keeper, and finishes his spell with figures of 4-11. Warwickshire 33-5

6th over: Penney upper-cuts for six to third man with the ball just clearing Hollioake's hands on the boundary edge, but Mahmood takes the wicket of Bell with another lifter as he fends a catch to gully. Warwickshire 32-4

5th over: More joy for Surrey as Ormond finds the outside edge of Troughton's bat and he is caught at slip. Warwickshire 22-3

5th over: Ormond claims the crucial wicket of Knight, who is bowled for eight as he tries to run the ball down to third man. Warwickshire 20-2

4th over: Bell chips towards mid-off and picks up two as the ball eludes the right hand of the diving Ramprakash.

3rd over: Carter comes down the wicket but is cramped for room by Ormond and drags the ball into his stumps. Warwickshire 16-1

2nd over: Knight slices Mahmood's opening delivery to third man for four and follows up with a classy straight drive for three.

1st over: Surrey paceman Ormond is unlucky as Salisbury floors a stinging chance offered by Carter, who pulls a six from the final ball of the over.
