Tour match, The Oval: Surrey 173 & 39-0 drew with India A 462-4 dec
India A saw rain ruin a second match on their tour of England after no play was possible on the third and final day at The Oval.
After bowling a second-string Surrey line-up out for 173 and then declaring on 464-4, the tourists would have been hopeful of a result.
But bad weather ruined the morning session and umpires Jeff Evans and Steven Garratt decided over lunch to call proceedings to a halt with the hosts 39-0 in their second innings.
There was plenty to cheer on day two when Sridharan Sriram, Gautam Gambhir and 17-year-old Ambati Rayudu all scored centuries for the tourists.
India's reserve team now move to Arundel, where they take on South Africa in a three-day match from Saturday.
