Tour match, The Oval, day two: Surrey 173 & 39-0 (at close); India A 462-4 dec
Three Indian batsmen helped themselves to hundreds as Surrey's rookie line-up spent the day chasing the ball across the outfield.
Sridharan Sriram, Gautam Gambhir and 17-year-old Ambati Rayudu reached three figures as the tourists moved into a commanding position.
Sriram, who had been 92 not out overnight, wasted no time in moving to his century, which came up off 126 balls and included 17 fours.
He progressed to 115 before Rikki Clarke, a member of England's one-day team, found the edge and wicket-keeper Jon Batty took the catch.
Clarke also accounted for Vijay Bharadwaj for seven as he took 2-36 from 18 overs, but none of the other Surrey bowlers could match his accuracy.
Gambhir and Rayudu collected 32 boundaries between them in an unbroken stand of 171, with Rayudu also hitting two sixes.
The declaration came after he completed his century, finishing on 101 not out, with Gambhir on 130.
A rain interruption meant only 12 overs were possible in Surrey's second innings before the close and Batty made 27 not out as he and Scott Newman prevented any loss.
