Points: Lancashire 4, Derbyshire 0
Lancashire just held Derbyshire at bay as the Division One clash at Derby was decided in a thrilling finale.
Time ran out for the hosts after great knocks from Luke Sutton and Dominic Cork in the middle-order had given them a real chance.
Reeling on 61-5, Derbyshire were taken along to 175 before Cork was dismissed by Carl Hooper for 49.
Glen Chapple, who took four wickets, reduced Derbyshire to 211-7 when Sutton was caught by Mal Loye for 83 off 85 balls.
Graeme Welch's 23 off 18 balls meant the match would go to the wire, but Lancashire did enough to earn their fourth win of the League season.
Earlier, opener Loye set the visitors on the path to a good total with 63 off 91 balls.
The entire Lancashire top-order made contributions, with Iain Sutcliffe, Stuart Law and Hooper all exceeding 35.
