County Championship D1, Liverpool, day four: Leicestershire 314 & 130-5 (f-o) lost to Lancashire 503-6 dec. by 10 wickets
Points: Lancashire 22, Leicestershire 5
Lancashire closed the gap on Division One leaders Surrey to six points after wrapping up an easy victory on the final morning at Aigburth.
Leicestershire were consigned to their first loss of the season, but with each of their other four matches drawn they remain rooted to the bottom of the ladder.
Former West Indies skipper Carl Hooper and Gary Keedy were the star performers as Leicestershire slumped from an overnight 130-5 to 212 all out in their second innings.
Hooper grabbed his 17th five-wicket haul at first-class level, while fellow off-spinner Keedy's three wickets on the final day gave him seven for the match.
It takes his seasonal tally to 23, making him the county's leading wicket-taker with 23 at an average of 19.8.
Set the modest target of 24 to win, Lancashire openers Mark Chilton and Iain Sutcliffe needed eight overs to seal victory.
