Sri Lanka draw warm-up
Tour match, Johannesburg, day four: Sri Lanka 336-5 dec & 265-2 drew with Rest of South Africa 392

Russel Arnold
Arnold was in aggressive mood
Russel Arnold narrowly missed out on a century as Sri Lanka enjoyed valuable batting practice ahead of Friday's first Test.

Arnold hit two sixes and 12 fours in making 98 before he was caught behind off Garnett Kruger.

The left-hander shared an opening stand of 184 in 48 overs with Marvan Atapattu, who contributed 81, and Kumar Sangakkara also reached a half century before a halt was called.

Starting the day on 368 for eight, the home side added 24 for their last two wickets in the morning session.

Kruger was lbw to Sujeewa de Silva for 11 before Arnold brought their innings to a close with the wicket of Jon Kent for 48.

Arnold was soon into his stride with the bat, having missed out in Sri Lanka's first innings, and Atapattu matched his boundary tally as they encountered few difficulties against the Rest attack.

They were eventually separated when Atapattu edged Pierre Joubert to Kruger van Wyk, who claimed his second catch six overs later to dash Arnold's hopes of a hundred.

Sangakkara enlivened proceedings in the closing overs with a six and 10 fours in his 61 not out off 69 balls, with skipper Sanath Jayasuriya finishing unbeaten on 11.

Sri Lanka: R Arnold, M Atapattu, K Sangakkara, M Jayawardene, S Jayasuriya (capt), H Tillekeratne, H Fernando, S de Silva, CG Lakshitha, M Muralitharan, R Perera.

Rest of South Africa: A Amla (capt), J Henderson, D Jacobs, H Amla, J Kent, P Joubert, G Kruger, C de Lange, Z Abrahim, K van Wyk, B Kops.
