Maynard leads sixes squad
The England Hong Kong Sixes team celebrate their runners-up spot
England were runners-up in 1997
England have announced their squad for the 2002 Hong Kong Sixes at the beginning of November.

Glamorgan's Matthew Maynard is set to skipper the side once more as he did in the competition last year when England reached the semi-finals.

The eight-team tournament pits England against Pakistan, Australia and Hong Kong in Pool two whilst Pool one features South Africa, Sri Lanka, India and United Arab Emirates.

Kent's Martin Saggers and Lancashire's Glenn Chapple are the only two men in the team not to have represented England at a senior level

All-rounders Paul Collingwood and Ronnie Irani also make the squad before linking up with England's one-day squad in Australia.

Chris Silverwood completes the pace attack whilst Adam Hollioake will be there to present the Player of the Tournament trophy, which has been renamed in honour of his brother Ben.

The matches take place between 2-3 November with US$80,000 up for grabs in prize money.

England: Matthew Maynard (capt), Glen Chapple, Paul Collingwood, Adam Hollioake, Ronnie Irani, Martin Saggers, Chris Silverwood.
